Deputies Catch Naked Robbery Suspect
BELLEAIR, Fla. -- Pinellas County authorities said a man who stripped naked to elude police is behind bars.
According to the sheriff's office, Charles Hilldreth the Fourth of Fayetteville, North Carolina tried to rob a man, then stripped naked and jumped into the Intracoastal Waterway.
During Thursday's chase, authorities said Hilldreth bit one of the deputies on the chest. He was later subdued and taken to the hospital and then to jail.
Belleair Beach police charged Hilldreth with one count each of strong-arm robbery and resisting arrest without violence.
Pinellas Sheriff's Deputies also charged him with one count of battery on a law enforcement officer and two counts of resisting arrest with violence.Hildreth is being held in the Pinellas County Jail on bond.
